What makes an Astra game different?

Astra combines language-model deliberation with a tactical engine written from scratch. It chooses which positions to investigate, reviews the evidence, and decides what to play. No external chess engines, opening books, game databases, or endgame tablebases guide its moves.

Astra may explain an idea or keep a plan to itself. The conversation is part of the game. Its time budget is separate from yours; you can take your time.
